Culture drives great results
CEO General Electric, 1981 - 2001
(During his time as CEO, GE’s value rose 4,000%)
Dr Tony Watt knows what makes a successful organisation tick.
“I believe that happiness at work and optimal experience are achievable. The boundaries between work and leisure blur in that heightened state of consciousness.
In such a state of ‘flow’, high levels of discretionary effort are gifted to an organisation making it unassailable in the marketplace. I find my ‘flow’ when I’m on that journey to the Platinum Cultural Health Standard with my clients.”
Dr Tony Watt, Managing Director and Principal Consultant of Brisbane based business consultancy, The Culture Doctor®.
After more than three decades leading large teams of people during a successful career in the education sector, Tony launched The Culture Doctor® in 2009.
Tony’s work as an organisational culture consultant sees him liaise closely with Senior Executives across many industries. He has successfully delivered change management programs to scores of businesses including local government bodies, professional services firms (engineers, environmental scientists and architects) as well as blue-collar businesses (an abattoir and a timber yard are among his clients).
Dr Watt has a strong academic base for his work on change management and organisational culture. His doctorate from The University of Queensland focused on the sociology of change that drives human behaviour and has contributed to the already established academic knowledge that supports this philosophy.
